We welcomed our newly born daughter with a naming ceremony we designed. It was conducted at South Cape Beach where the elements surrounded us in all their glory! The ceremony was beautiful and meaningful. Everyone in the family played a role and to this day, over twenty-five years later, people who participated still talk about how memorable and enjoyable the experience was.
A life well lived is a life where important accomplishments are recognized, honored, and celebrated. We can assist you to design a meaningful ceremony to celebrate and honor high school, college, technical school and other graduations.
We live in a world full of energy. We are surrounded by energy literally and figuratively! When you move into a new dwelling it makes sense to clean and clear the energy just as you want to clean and clear the space physically. We design house blessing ceremonies to help make the new space yours so that you can feel at home. We design the house blessing to clear out old negative energies and to bring in positive energies and protection. This is a wonderful gift to give when someone close to you moves into a new space. We can also design ceremonies for offices and studios.
Coming of age for girls in our culture is especially difficult due to all the negative stereotypes western culture has applied to menstruation. For our young friends and family members we prefer to reframe this time as a beautiful and special entrance into womanhood. Ceremonies can be simple, as a fun lunch, and a movie out with important female friends and family members, to a more formal ritual or a combination of both. We design these ceremonies to celebrate the importance of this moment in a young women's life and to surround her with love and supportBoys also need to be surrounded with the love and guidance of important friends and family to honor their entrance into adulthood.
Liz is an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church and can legally conduct marriage ceremonies. She works with couples to design a ceremony that will make this most important day as beautiful and meaningful as possible.
In our culture we seem to have a very hard time dealing with death and dying. We have over-medicalized what was once treated as a natural process. Our healthcare system looks upon death as a failure. Instead of dying at home surrounded by loved ones and a homey environment people now more often die in hospitals. Sometimes with very sick people or emergencies that is unavoidable. When people have lived long, fruitful, lives it is wonderful to celebrate their lives and accomplishments with loved ones. There is always sadness surrounding death as we are now parted from our loved one, but designing your own ceremony allows you to celebrate the life and focus on the beauty and accomplishments rather than to just mourn the parting of your loved one.
